A dark fantasy and science fiction author, Kim Lakin (formerly Lakin-Smith) has a love for all things other, mechanical and macabre. Her novel, Cyber Circus, was shortlisted for the British Fantasy Award and the British Science Fiction Association Best Novel Award. Kim’s other novels, Tourniquet and Rise, reflect her horror leanings, with the young adult novel, Autodrome, steeped in steampunk and futurism.
Kim currently lives on a farm in Derbyshire with her cat, Diablo, who mainly ignores her, and two extremely vocal donkeys, who do not.
