Martin Sketchley is a writer, editor and Royal Literary Fund Fellow. “Bloodbirds” is the sequel to the BSFA Award-nominated “Songbirds”, published in the Conflicts anthology from NewCon Press in 2010. 2021 saw his story “Fanning the Flames” appear in the No More Heroes anthology, and production of his first audio drama, Modrocker. Other stories include “The Howl”, in collaboration with Ian R. MacLeod, “The Circle of Least Confusion”, and three novels published by Simon & Schuster. He also appears on a Nick Cave DVD, and once spent time on a submarine with Stefanie Powers.
