David Langford has been publishing SF and non-fiction about SF since the 1970s. Over the years he has produced more than 40 books and accumulated 29 Hugo Awards, including one for best short story, one shared for the third edition of the Encyclopedia of Science Fiction, and several for the genre newsletter Ansible (1979-current). His witty SF review and commentary columns have appeared in White Dwarf and other games magazines (1983-1991), Interzone (1992-current), SFX (1995-2016) and The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction (1999-current). Langford is notoriously deaf yet mysteriously able to detect the quietest offer of a drink. See ansible.uk and news.ansible.uk for more.
