Tom Hunter is the director of the Arthur C. Clarke Award, the UK’s premier prize for science fiction literature. He works in marketing and has always been carefully to avoid an actual career in publishing lest it forever ruin his love for books. That said, since first taking on the Clarke Award challenge over a decade ago he has been actively involved in promoting science fiction at every opportunity, including writing, reviewing, public speaking, coaching, lots and lots of author interviews, and even organising his own conference event, Write The Future (WTF).
