Martin Westlake is an author, biographer and academic and a former international civil servant. He has lived, worked and studied in the UK, Italy, France and Belgium. He took early retirement to write and teach full-time. He has had poetry and short stories published and several plays performed. An epic historical novel, Other Than an Aspen Be, is currently on submission. SF is a favourite genre, particularly in short story form, and he has a growing number of published stories to his name. Long walks with a large, eternally-young, flat-coated retriever keep him fit and provide time for inspiration.
