Paul Houghton studied fine art, and then creative writing at UEA, under Malcolm Bradbury and Angela Carter. His first novel won a Society of Authors Betty Trask Award and he has since published stories in magazines and anthologies such as Panurge, The Fiction Magazine, Cutting Teeth, Mouth, Gutter, You Are Here, Magical and Dark in the Day which he co-edited with Storm Constantine. He is currently working on a second novel and teaching full time at Staffordshire University where he is a senior Lecturer in creative writing.
