Kate Macdonald writes for a living as a publisher and editor and as a literary historian. She writes SFF in a secretive fashion for pleasure, preferably when no one is in the house to interrupt. Paradoxically, she writes best in 15-minute bursts between expected interruptions. She lives outside Bath in the west of England with her family, where she cultivates the domestic arts and eats chocolate. Her previous publications have been her scholarly research in twentieth-century British literary history, recently joined by SFF short stories. She is surprised to find that she is now writing a novel.
