RB Kelly was born and raised in Northern Ireland, in a home where Star Trek re-runs were rarely off the television and the bookshelves were well-stocked with Terry Pratchett. Her fiction and nonfiction works have appeared in magazines and journals across the world, including The Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine, a variety of anthologies, and a Bridport-shortlisted short story. She has a PhD in film theory, and her doctoral thesis, Mark Antony and Popular Culture, was published in 2014 by IB Tauris. Edge of Heaven is her first novel, and it was a winner of the Irish Writers Centre Novel Fair Award. She lives outside Belfast with her husband and son
