Rodolfo Martínez (Asturias, Spain, 1965) is a computer programmer and one of the most prolific science fiction writers in Spain. Notable works include cyberpunk novels La sonrisa del gato (1995), available in English as Cat’s Whirld, and El sueño del rey rojo (2004), the Ignotus-winning space opera Tierra de nadie: Jormundgand [No Man’s Land: Jormungand], the 2005 urban fantasy Los sicarios del cielo [Heaven’s Hired Assassins], which won a Minotauro Award, Fieramente humano [Fiercely Human] in 2011, which won another Ignotus Award, and the series El adepto de la reina (2009), available in English as The Queen’s Adept. Martínez also runs independent publishing house Sportula.
