Virginia Pérez de la Puente’s first novel, Chosen by Death (Ediciones B, 2010), was described as “the best Spanish fantasy debut of the century.” It introduced her saga The Second Havoc, which continued with the novels The Dream of the Dead (Minotauro, 2013), Between the Two Shores (2014), Fate’s Puppets (2016) and the novellas Dreaming about Forests (2013) and My Soul for my King (2014). In 2015 she published a standalone novel, Children of the One-Eyed God, a twist on classic Nordic mythology. Her novels frequently appear on lists of the best fantasy books of the year.
