Ian Whates is the author of eight published novels, the co-author of two more, and has seen some eighty of his short stories published in a variety of venues. He has also edited more than thirty anthologies. His work has been shortlisted for the Philip K. Dick Award and twice for BSFA Awards and has been translated into Spanish, German, Hungarian, Czech and Greek. His latest novella 'The Smallest of Things' was released by PS Publishing in October 2018. In 2006 he founded award-winning independent publisher NewCon Press by accident.
